Atlantic Bulk Carrier Corporation Purchasing ACTS System for BASF Site

Atlantic Bulk Carrier Corporation, ABC, based in Providence Forge,VA has announced that it will be purchasing the full automated unloading system for 6 trailers and a full plant monitoring system for one of its BASF customer sites. The purchase includes the ACTS Monitor Software allowing both BASF and ABC to see real time 4 of the plant silos in order to make better dispatch and production decisions. Installation is expected to be complete in June 2012.

GreenRock Materials in Quinton, VA has just signed a lease to install the ACTS system on its Richmond, Virginia plant site. GreenRock Materials is an integrated ready-mix concrete producer who operates three concrete plant sites in the Greater Richmond Metropolitan area. GreenRock will utilize the real time inventory information that the ACTS Monitor software provides to make better operational decisions and reduce risk when taking silo inventories.” They plan on upgrading to the automated unloading system as soon as the building industry picks up. www.greenrock.net

Canadian Patent Approved

Canadian Patent No.2,497,741 was issued in January 2012 to Automated Cargo Transport Systems for its innovative design in safety and effeciency for its automated unloading system. This now makes two patents for the ACTS system. ACTS US Patent No. is 6,533,142 issued in March of 2003.

Shamrock Materials Completes Upgrade. ACTS recently completed an upgrade to 4 of Shamrock Materials plant sites.Shamrock Materials is headquartered in Petaluma, CA and has supplied materials from the Golden Gate to Cloverdale since 1954. Shamrock has been an ACTS customer for several years and recently decided to upgrade it’s ACTS Monitor software and take it to “the cloud”. This greatly enhances their logistics manager’s ability to view inventory levels at each plant site allowing up to the minute decisions regarding inbound product and trucking scheduling. This information can be shared with internal operation’s managment and with third party vendors, such as trucking companies, to allow for a real time, best decisions making process.

Irving Materials Inc., IMI, updates two plant sites with ACTS in Tennessee. Automated Cargo Transport Systems completed installations at IMI’s Decatur, TN and Goodlettsville, TN plant sites in November 2011. This completes the 9th installation for IMI with more projects under review for 2012.
